... at work , at home etc.

I think, Capt_Kirk is right. Let's not categorize country-wise. Fetishes differ from person to person. I am from India. I am having armpit fetish. But all Indians don't. Likewise, if an individual Brazilian has a taboo on armpit fetish, that's his personal thinking and not of Brazil as a whole. Conversely, if an individual Brazilian is having armpit fetish, that's his personal liking. That doesn't represent the whole Brazil. Nevertheless, it seems that the people of Middle Eastern countries have armpit fetish on greater scale, as compared to the people of Western countries.

I'm from Brazil too, and I have a different view on this issue... Through my time " researching " about this particular fetish ( not scientific research, just digging around ), I came to the conclusion that armpits fetish is an universal thing, with not really big difference in numbers around the world. What differs from country to country is how accepte it is as " normal " by society,so, also how openly it is talked about. I think that in Brazil, like also probably in USA and other western countries, there's as much armpit lovers as at any other eastern culture, but since it's viewed as " weird ", it's not discusse too much or too openly...

I am also contented to know that in the western countries too there are as much armpit lovers as in the eastern countries. I am fully agree with your opinion that armpit fetish is a universal thing. Hi. I'm new to the group and just read this thread. In my travels, I've seen a lot of the fetishes and they are (sort of) typical by country.

In Japan, it's all about smells. That's why they have a national armpit fetish, in my opinion. It goes with their other scent based fetishes. Many women wear these panty liners. (Maybe they smell more then other women. I wish I had some first hand knowledge.) If you see their femdom porn, they lick the men's noses. I guess for the men to smell their breath. I once saw a Japanese TV show and (I swear this is true, I saw it with my own eyes on the TV) they had a lineup of women (perhaps 20 or so) with their shoes off. Despite the fact I try not to do such breakdowns by ethnicity... I can't help but to notice the trends. It still is an interesting question. First off, I like dark or stubbly (or both... stubbly just mimics dark well) pits, so that skews my perception considerably and immediately rules out anyone who doesn't have enough melanin in their skin or hair to support it. So, somewhat ironically, blondes are at the bottom of my list (well actually right here on girlpits I did manage to find some exceptions!). There's probably an equivalent of "The Curtains Need not Match the Carpet" for hair on the head vs. that on the armpits (what should it be... the tablecloth?!)

It is because of Indian sites such as bollyarmforum.com and masalaboard.com that I discovered there was a whole online community of pit fetishists (this is before girlpits.com came along).
